Fastest computer in the world…


The United States Department of Energy (DOE) just finished setting up the world’s fastest computer.  180,000 cores, 362 TB of RAM, and 10 PB of storage (that’s petabytes).  The Cray XT Jaguar.  Now that my laptop is faster than the Cray-1 (circa 1976), can I expect to have 200K cores and 1/3 PB of RAM…
