I will be presenting this Wednesday at the Architect Factory at the NERD Center in Cambridge, MA.

 

Talk Title:             Architecting Solutions for the Manycore Future

Abstract: This talk will focus solution architects toward thinking about parallelism when designing applications and solutions specifically Threads vs. Tasks on TPL, PLINQ vs. LINQ, and Functional Programming versus Object Oriented techniques.  This talk will also compare programming languages, how languages differ when dealing with manycore programming, and the different advantages to these languages.  Demonstrations may include C#, VB, and F# features for functional programming, LINQ and TPL.  A demonstration of the Concurrency Visualizer in Visual Studio 2010 will also be included.
